According to statistics Mozilla Firefox is currently most popular web browser,mostly because its fully configurable,you can set everything according to your needs.Most people use standard plug-ins for things they need but how many of you have installed any security plugin on your Firefox?probably only few of you have them.That is why i am making this list to help you get familiar with some of the best security add-ons for Firefox.For start let me introduce one global security add-on called

WOT (web of trust)

Pretty nice add-on which have one main purpose to tell you if sites you are visiting are trusted or not.If website is fully trusted you will see green circle on the google result for a google search and will also show one next to home button on FF So websites you know the situation for those sites also.As trust level is lover u will see green color turning into orange and finally red for 0% trustful sites.besides of showing only if site is trusted or not it also shows  Vendor reliability, Privacy,Child safety,IT will put big warning on bad sites,big enough you cant miss it.Those options can be enabled and disabled by your wish depending on what exactly you want from your WOT.Do you want to block your children accessing bad sites or something else.

KEY SCRAMBLER

Next add-on i personally use is keyscrambler by qfx software.This little add-on will encrypt every stroke you make on keyboard on the level which cannot be bypassed.This is good especially for people that use allot of passwords typing.even in case they get keylogged instead of your passwords attackers will only receive set of encrypted chars which they will not be able to decrypt.Now remember one thing that his will only save you against keyloggers on FF and not from password steelers which are collecting passwords that are already stored inside your firefox.Mine suggestion is not to save any passwords for any sites.

DR.WEB ANTI-VIRUS LINK CHECKER

One more amassing add-on i use personally.Lets say you were looking for some file to download from the internet and you don't want to download file that have malware inside.All you need to do is to right click on the download link and chose „scan with dr. web“.In second or 2 link you want to download will be scanned and you will be provided with report if file is safe to download or not.Best thing is that once installed it integrate in your firefox on the context menu so its easy to start it for every link you want.

GMAIL S/MIME

This one will allow you to send and receive encrypted emails.Bad thing is it work only for gmail,but hey better than nothing.Maybe you are wondering why do i need email encryption but believe me you do.Unless you want someone to sniff your mails and read what you wrote or something....

SQL INJECT ME

This add-on is pretty useful for webmasters.IT will allow you to check your website and imput boxes against sql injection attacks.This add-on is made only for simple testing so don't think that you are 100% safe against sql injection,it only mean that you are safe against simple ways of sql injection.For deeper things i recommend you to download some professional program for the purpose.Or even better thing is to hire professional pentester since there is no program that can replace human factor in the process.

ADDBLOCK PLUS

How many times you opened some website and got lost in the see of commercials so instead of getting what you want u just close the site and try to find what you want on some other.I know that people are trying to make some money from those adds am doing it also,putting new content and hoping that people will do the clicks.But you can't put adds over content which is more important.Thats why i like this plugin it will block the advertising on sites so you can browse normally and find what you are looking for...
